Port Eliabeth - AFP

All Blacks captain Keven Mealamu urged his side not to be distracted by the World Cup when they meet the Springboks in Saturday's Tri-Nations Test at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium. "Everyone's got their eyes set on the World Cup but we've got to take care of what's in front of us right now," he said after the New Zealand team's captain's run on Friday. "That means doing our best to make sure we win the Test tomorrow." Victory for the unbeaten All Blacks would make them strong favourites to clinch the Tri-Nations title, barring an uncharacteristic collapse in their final match against Australia in Brisbane next week. But Mealamu cautioned it was too early to think of building momentum ahead of next month's World Cup. "Momentum will come if we get the job done," he said. "We've got a lot of respect for the Springboks ... We know how hard it is to win Tests against them." It is the first time since 1970 that the All Blacks have played a Test in Port Elizabeth and both teams have been swamped by supporters and autograph hunters at their hotels and training venues. "There's been an awesome atmosphere during the week with a lot of supporters around town," said Mealamu. "There's a real feel of the traditional South Africa-All Blacks game."
