London - Arabstoday
Wolves interim boss Terry Connor still believes they can take their fight for Premier League survival down to the wire. The Molineux outfit find themselves marooned at the bottom of the table, six points adrift of safety after losing their last six games and with a significantly worse goal difference. Wolves face Arsenal on Wednesday and their hopes of staying up have been written off in many quarters, but Connor is refusing to give up the fight. "What we intend to do is win as many as we possibly can and we want to finish the season as best we possibly can and that's the challenge I have set myself and for the players and they have bought into that," he said. "I think if you watched our performances over the last four or five games you would have seen an improvement in what we are trying to do and we will continue that against Arsenal. "We will try and be competitive in all 38 games and if we can do that we will have played a full season and be going into the last game against Wigan having something to play for." Job prospects Connor refused to be drawn on whether or not he will remain in charge next season, with the likes of Paul Ince and Lee Clark linked with the manager's job at Molineux. Connor admitted he will sit down with chairman Steve Morgan and chief executive Jez Moxey at the end of the season to review the campaign. Asked about his future, Connor said: "I think that will be a discussion for the end of the season, see where we are, see the review of the whole season and we what Steve [Morgan] and Jez [Moxey], what their thoughts are. "In 13 years I have been development coach, first-team coach, assistant manager, and manager for 13 games. I have encompassed a lot of roles and so at the end of the season we will sit down and see what is best for Wolves."
