Dubai Teams from the Automobile and Touring Club of the UAE (ATCUAE) are visiting Algeria, Tanzania and Sudan over the next two months to help the national authorities develop motorsport. The visits highlight the growing role being played by the ATCUAE, the governing body of motorsport in the Emirates, in sharing its knowledge through training, education, and research. A team from the ATCUAE’s Motorsport Knowledge Institute (MKI) has just arrived in Algiers to conduct a comprehensive three-day rally-based training programme for the Federation Algerienne Des Sports Mecaniques (FASM). In two weeks’ time, at the invitation of the Automobile Association of Tanzania (AAT), ATCUAE trainers arrive in Tanga to conduct a three-day workshop covering all aspects of motorsport management, including safety, crowd control and marshalling. Next month ATCUAE trainers will visit Sudan to oversee the setting up of a national motorsport structure. This follows a three-day training programme held in the UAE in May for senior officials from the Sudanese Automobile and Touring Club.
