London - Arabstoday

United trail Copenhagen's £2m left-back Manchester United are considering a move for FC Copenhagen left back Bryan Oviedo [pictured above playing for Costa Rica]. United sent scouts to watch the Costa Rica international on Sunday. Oviedo, who played in Gary Speed’s memorial match in February and has made 13 appearances for the Danish champions this season, is out of contract next summer and available for around £2million. United want a left back to cover for Patrice Evra as Brazilian Fabio is expected to be loaned to Benfica next season. Benfica are also showing interest in United midfielder Anderson who could find himself further down the pecking order as United look to sign two midfielders. Daily Mail Elsewhere, The Independent cover United's proposed new "singing section" following the trial last Sunday that involved moving Aston Villa fans to North Stand Tier 3. Ian Herbert writes: "Discussions will take place with Greater Manchester Police over the next two weeks to establish whether the new away fan arrangements, first trialled against Valencia in December 2010, have met safety standards in terms of segregation, coach parking and other logistical issues." The same paper claims "Sir Alex Ferguson's preference is for Fabio da Silva to be sent on loan to a Premier League club" next season, despite widespread reports that the young defender will to head to Benfica in Portugal.
