Sudanese Ambassador to Indonesia Abd Al Rahim Al Siddig has said that the security in his country is guaranteed and there is no more conflict.
"Our county is peaceful, now the people are moving and the economic is growing," Ambassador Al Siddiq said here on Friday.
He also asked the world to change the perspective as not all African countries are involved in conflicts and wars.
"What we hear and read from media is not like that, in fact we live in peace and people are living their life," he said.
He added that the African countries are making effort to solve the problems through negotiations and mediation, instead of wars.
UN relief chief on Wednesday, however, expressed disappointment that Sudan`s Darfur region is still not self-reliant, calling for stronger bridges between humanitarian and development work.
Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Valerie Amos, who is currently on a four-day visit to Darfur, said that after 10 years of humanitarian operations in the region, it is disappointing that the humanitarian community has not been able to do more to help people become more self-sufficient, deputy UN spokesman Eduardo del Buey told reporters here at a daily news briefing.
Darfur`s rebels have split up into dozens of groups since their rebellion began in early 2003, hindering peace efforts and increasing insecurity in Sudan`s west, where the UN estimates a humanitarian crisis has claimed 300,000 lives.
