Egypt’s ambassador in Washington expressed his condolences to the members of the Egyptian community in the United States, the Egyptian Church and all the Egyptian people over the victims of Sunday’s terrorist attack on a Cairo church.
A blast at the Boutrosiya Church next to St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in Cairo’s Abbasiya district left 23 people dead and dozens of others injured.
“Such terrorist acts will strengthen Egypt's unity and never discourage us from our aspirations of building a nation that is based on equality and providing decent life for all Egyptians,” Ambassador Yasser Reda said on Monday.
