The 10-year-old girl who had sustained severe injuries in the Boutroseya church attack on December 11 succumbed to her wounds on Tuesday.

Church sources told MENA that Magy Momen, a primary school pupil, had received shrapnel in the brain and had her lung tissues damaged.

She had been admitted into the intensive care unit in al Galaa Military Hospital after she was carried from Demerdash Hospital, added the sources.

Magy's death has taken the death toll from the attack to 27.

Her funeral will be held later today in the Boutroseya church, added the sources.
