Egyptian President backs new Libyan Government
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi received the Chairman of the Libyan Presidential Council for the

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi received the Chairman of the Libyan Presidential Council for the Government of National Accord Faez Al-Sarraj, on visit to Cairo.
President el-Sisi said that Egypt would spare no efforts to support the new Libyan Government assume its duties and achieve Libyans’ aspirations.
He urged the Libyan Government to consolidate the concept of state, protect the national fabric and support institutions, including the army and police which represent the cornerstone to reinstate security and stability and combat the scourge of terrorism.
Al-Sarraj stressed the firm resolve of the new Libyan Government to combat the terrorist groups, underlining the importance of coordination with neighbouring countries to root out the scourge of terror.
