A military funeral was held Wednesday in Teline village, the hometown of Captain Diaa Fat'hi Fatooh of the civil defense department, who died Tuesday after a bomb went off near a police station in Haram district of Giza.
A number of unidentified persons had planted an explosive charge in front of a gas station near the Talbiya Police Station.
The bomb exploded as Fatooh was trying to defuse it.
Fatooh's body was wrapped in the Egyptian flag.

Thousands of Teline residents and residents of nearby villages also attended the funeral after the noon prayers.
