A detachment of the People's National Army (ANP) of Bouira (1st Military Region) on Friday morning has eliminated three terrorists near the dam of Asserdoun, south of Lakhdaria and recovered two Kalashnikov automatic rifles and one semi-automatic rifle, said the Ministry of National Defence in a communiqué.
"As part of the fight against terrorism and during a search and combing operation, a detachment of the People's National Army (ANP) of Bouira (1st Military Region) has eliminated, today Friday 10 October at 6 a.m. near the dam of Asserdoun (south of Lakhdaria), three terorrists and recovered two Kalashnikov automatic rifles, a semi-automatic rifle and various objects," said the communiqué, adding that the operation "is sill underway."
"During another combing operation at the forest of Machraa Sfa, near the area of Foussa, in the province of Tiaret (2nd Military Region), a detachment of the Army has eliminated yesterday Thursday 9 October 2014 at 4 p.m. a terrorist and arrested another one," said the Ministry's communiqué.
"The operation, which is still underway, has allowed recovering two Kalashnikov automatic rifles, a huge quantity of ammunition, mobile phones and various objects," said the communiqué.
