Three new political parties in Algeria have been granted authorization from the Ministry of Interior, the official APS news agency has reported . The authorized parties are the Algerian Green Party for the Development (PAVD), the Party of the Faithful to the Country (PFP) and the Free Democratic Front (FDL), APS quoted a statement by the ministry as saying. As part of political reforms launched by Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika 21 parties were approved in 2011 and participated in the parliamentary elections in May. Algeria is due to hold local elections on Nov. 29.
