A 6.0 magnitude earthquake today rocked north of California on the Richter scale. No casualties or massive destruction were reported. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said the epicenter of the quake was five miles (eight km) northwest of the town of American Canyon and 10.8 km-deep on the northern edge of the San Francisco Bay.
