The damages from the flood in the Rostov-on-Don Region were confirmed in 758 out 2,154 houses in the flood area. “The work to estimate the damages, determine the sums of compensations and to make the list of people entitled to compensations will continue today. The return of the evacuated local residents in their houses is planned in the course of the day,” the department for prevention and elimination of emergency situations in the Rostov-on-Don Region told Itar-Tass on Tuesday. The water level in the mouth of the Don River reached 574 centimetres (a dangerous level of the flood makes 700 centimetres) at 08:00 Moscow time on Tuesday. The flood left the settlements, the rivers got back in their channels. The emergency situation regime is in effect in the Azov district, the emergency situation regime was lifted in the Neklinovka district. Electric power and gas supplies of the electric power substations were restored fully in all settlements. The flood area is being patrolled and guarded. As many as 43 people, 12 units of machinery and four power-driven pumps are involved in the cleanup of the emergency situation from the department for the prevention and elimination of emergency situations in the Rostov-on-Don Region. Several settlements in the Rostov-on-Don Region were flooded as a result of the growth of the water level on the Don River on Sunday, March 24. A hard flood situation has emerged in the Azov, Neklinovka districts and the city Azov. As many as 32 people were evacuated.
