An earthquake measuring 2.5 on the Richter scale today hit Banda Sea in Indonesia.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department said in a statement that the quake was located 467 kilometers southeast of Ambon, Indonesia and 1.752 south-east of Tawau in Sabah state of Malaysia.
it added that the earthquake did not lead to a tsunami wave.
