Egypt will host on Saturday a regional conference on" relationship between engineering survey and development".
The conference, runs from October 3rd to 6th, is organized in collaboration with Water Resources and Irrigation Ministry, Arab Union of Geomatic and National Water Research Center (NWRC).
The conference will be attended by 300 experts and specialists of 18 Arab and Nile-Basin countries as well as representatives of southern Mediterranean countries, the World Water Council, the Arab Water Council and Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
The gathering will discuss several issues related to the role of geometric survey and military sciences in carrying out mega projects as well as scientific planning that goes in line with the latest technologies in the use of remote sensing and geographic information systems and land survey to provide real data and information on the giant projects' yields.
Also, the conferees will touch on the role of land survey in enhancing urban and rural planning to prevent the emergence of slums, as well as the exchange of experience among the regional participants and achieving integration to deal with problems facing them in the land survey field.
They will talk about ways to upgrade the quality of education in the area of land survey and the impact of climate change on the development projects.
