A slight earthquake in central Texas was the third in the area in less than a month, officials said. Residents of Snyder in central Texas said they felt an earthquake early Saturday later confirmed as a 3.2-magnitude temblor by the U.S. Geological Survey. The earthquake was centered about five miles north-northeast of Snyder in Scurry Country about 8:47 a.m. with residents describing it as weak to light shaking, the Lubbock (Texas) Avalanche-Journal reported Monday. The Snyder Fire Department said there were no reports of damage. A 3.4 magnitude quake occurred Dec. 9 and was centered 15 miles north of Snyder. and on Nov. 24 a 3.0 magnitude quake was centered 17 miles north-northeast of Snyder, the USGS said.
