Earthquake tremors of 5.4 magnitude were felt in northern Pakistani city of Chitral and its adjacent area on early Saturday morning, local media reported. Quoting Meteorological office, local Urdu TV Dunya reported that shakes of 5.4 magnitude were felt at about 5:20 a.m. local time in Chitral, a mountainous town located in northern Pakistan, and its adjacent areas. The epicenter of the earthquake was Afghan-Tajikistan border located towards the northern side of Chitral. The earthquake created panic among the people, but no loss of life was reported, according to the initial reports.
