A magnitude 4.5 earthquake shook Sukabumi in Indonesia's West Java Saturday night. The Meteorology, Geophysics and Climatology Agency recorded the quake's epicenter was at 7.43 degrees south latitude and 106.47 degrees east longitude or 52 kilometers from Sukabumi. "The quake did not have the potential to cause a tsunami but people must remain alert for possible aftershocks," the agency's chief of mitigation, earthquake and tsunami, Rahmat Priyono, told Indonesia's news Agency (ANTARA). The quake had caused panic among people in Sukabumi and some of them stayed outside their homes for fear of aftershocks.
