A second fire broke out on the island of Froya in Norway, just miles from where firefighters are already battling a dangerous blaze, fire officials said. Firefighters said the new blaze is large and will require more manpower. "A police helicopter is heading north to report on how the situation looks. It seems that it is spreading rapidly," Ebbe Kimo, South Trondelag police spokesman, said. Firefighters were able to control the other blaze on Tuesday, but have not been able to completely extinguish it, TheLocal.no reported. The fire has destroyed 90 buildings in the historic coastal villages of Hasvag and Smavaeret, and 33 residents have been evacuated. Officials said they are hoping the winds die down and firefighters will be able to douse the flames.
