Oman transport: Futaisi opens e-gate system at Sohar Port
The e-gate system for the containers area at Sohar Industrial Port will reduce the time spent in loading

An e-gate system for was opened at the Sohar was inaugurated on Saturday.
A celebration was organised on the occasion under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Futaisi, Minister of Transport and Communications.
The e-gate system for the containers area at Sohar Industrial Port will reduce the time spent in loading and unloading the ships.
It will also enable truck drivers pass through the gates of the containers terminal without the need for presenting any paper documents.
The new system also includes cards with details of drivers that can be read by a device and cameras which can read the nimber plates of the trucks.
