Military officers saw a tiger walking along a local highway in Russia’s Far East on Friday, PrimaMedia said. The servicemen were driving back to a military compound on the Vladivostok-Nakhodka motorway on Thursday night, when they saw the Amur tiger walking calmly down the road, paying no attention to the passing cars. The big cat then crossed the road and disappeared into the woods near village of Polk. The local emergencies services said three more tigers from the same family lived in the area. Experts said there was little chance of the tigers attacking people. The Amur tiger is on the Extinct Species List, with only about 400 remaining, according to National Geographic.
