Prince Bandar bin Saud bin Mohammad, Chairman of Board of Directors of Saudi Wildlife Authority, has headed the delegation of Saudi Arabia to the Summit of Bodies In Charge of Marine Reserves in San Francisco, California, United States of America, organized by the Office of U.S. National Marine Sanctuaries, an affiliate of U.S. Administration of Oceans and Atmosphere. In a press statement, the Prince said the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Crown Prince has given a great attention to the preservation of land and marine biodiversity, pointing to the declaration of 16 protected areas, including three marine reserves located in the Red Sea and Arab Gulf, adding that the Authority hopes to establish about 13 marine reserves.
