An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale rocked Imishi district in bordering region of Azerbaijan Republic and northwestern Iranian province of Ardebil on Monday.
The Geophysics Institute of Tehran University said that the quake was registered on Monday morning and at a depth of 14 km, according to Iran's (IRNA) News Agency.
There has been no report yet of likely casualties or damage to properties.
