At least seven people, including two children, were charred to death when two coaches of a train caught fire
New Delhi - BNA

At least seven people, including two children, were charred to death when two coaches of a train caught fire early on Tuesday in India's eastern state of Jharkhand, reported the New Delhi Television (NDTV).

The incident occurred in Jharkhand's Giridih district in the Howrah-Dehradun Express train. Fire broke out as a result of a blast in one of the air-conditioner gas cylinders of an AC coach of the train. The fire soon spread to other coaches of the train.
The TV report quoted a local police official as saying: "Seven people, including two children, died in the fire. Only four bodies have been identified so far. The fire has been extinguished." Two coaches of the ill-fated train were badly burnt, even as the TV report showed high rising flames coming out of the burning train.
In the aftermath of the fire incident, train services have been partially affected and some of the train routes have been diverted from the affected route.
