Tropical Storm Raymond pushed northward in the Pacific Ocean off the Mexican coast Tuesday, weather forecasters said. Raymond, with maximum sustained winds of 60 mph, was about 590 miles southwest of the southern tip of Baja California, moving north at 5 mph, the National Hurricane Center said in its 2 a.m. PDT advisory. No coastal watches or warning were in effect. Raymond was expected to turn to the north-northeast later Tuesday before shifting to the northeast and lose some forward speed Wednesday. Raymond was expected to weaken to a tropical depression by Tuesday night and degenerate to a remnant low pressure area Wednesday. Tropical storm-force winds extended outward from center as far as 70 miles.
