USGS: 5.1-magnitude quake hits west of Macquarie Island

An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale jolted west of Macquarie Island at 2011-10-20 16: 07 GMT on Thursday,the U.S. Geological Survey said. The epicenter, with a depth of 16.30 km, was initially determined to be at 52.47 degrees south latitude and 140.20 degrees east longitude.
