Alexandria Chamber of Commerce and the Association of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry Sunday launched the Mediterranean Week at Expo Milano 2015.
The Expos Milano's week will be attended by Italian, Spanish, Greece, Lebanon and Tunisian ministers of agriculture and economy, their commercial chambers and specialized bodies concerned with agriculture, food, tourism in the Mediterranean countries.
In a statement, Secretary General of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC) Alaa Ezz said the week comes within the framework of the Med Diet project and the cross-border cooperation program funded by the European Union.
This week will include organizing a number of conferences concerned with supporting and promoting Mediterranean food as a way to develop exports of food industries and agriculture products and lure tasting tourism that constitutes 7% of the world tourism, he added.
