"Molf-e Gand", an oral history documentary on the 1980-1988 Iraqi imposed war on Iran won the Grand Special Jury Prize in the 7th Nuremburg International Human Rights Festival.The 53-minute film directed by Mahmoud Rahmani was screened in two sections of International Competition and Audience Award of the German event since it had managed to show layers of the damages inflicted by war in a totally different way, unprecedented in the history of films with the theme of war. "Our imposed-war was the longest one in the world over past century. During the war, our defenseless people confronted a regime supported by many of the world super powers," Rahmani said after winning the prizes, Iranian students news agency reported. Also films and documentaries from Portugal, Japan, the Republic of Czech, France, Britain, Belgium, the US and Ireland joined the event. The festival mainly dealing with the issue of human rights is one of the leading events on human rights. It was held September 28 to October 5. Mahmoud Rahmani is best known for his social and political documentaries, such as The White Oil and Zero Degree Orbit.
