Azerbaijan is due to host an array of programs this week to honor the Persian culture, including a ceremony to commemorate the Iranian poet, Nezami Ganjavi.Upon arrival at Baku airport, Iran's Islamic Guidance and Culture Minister Seyed Mohammad Hosseini said Iran has planned several programs to expand its cultural ties with the Republic of Azerbaijan. "The cities of Baku and Ganja in the Republic of Azerbaijan will be hosting an Iranian cultural festival," he added according to the Iranian book news agency. Hosseini said last year Iran hosted Azerbaijan's cultural week and the country's Culture and Tourism Minister traveled to Tehran, Mashhad and Tabriz. The cities of Baku and Ganja in the Republic of Azerbaijan will be hosting an Iranian cultural festival opening on October 3. Several programs are arranged for the festival including Iranian film screenings, live music performances, puppet shows, as well as art and culture exhibitions. Moreover Nezami Ganjavi will be commemorated in Ganja.
