A memorial evening will be held at Moscow’s Bolshoi Theater to commemorate Russian ballet legend Maya Plisetskaya, who died on Saturday in Germany aged 89, the director of the Bolshoi, Vladimir Urin, said on Saturday.
The event will take place on November 20, the day of Plisetskaya’s birthday, he said.
"We will certainly organise an evening on that day, consecrated unfortunately to her memory now," Urin told Rossiya-24 television news channel.
He recalled also one of his last meetings with Plisetskaya not long ago, saying that the ballerina was in good health and they were talking about celebrations for her upcoming 90th birthday.
