In honour of World Book Day, the Spanish Institute in Cairo (Instituto Cervantes De El Cairo) will be holding a book fair at its headquarters in Dokki between 22 to 26 April. Egypt’s National Centre for Translation and Ozoris and Snabael publishing houses will be participating in the literary event. The institute's library, Adolfo Bioy Casares, will present its books as gifts to the visitors of the fair. The Spanish organisation will mark World Book Day which takes place on 23 April, by hosting an event in the institute's gardens. There will be a reading of the Arabic and Spanish version of Don Quixote novel by Spanish novelist Miguel de Cervantes. A campaign called Free Books, which is sponsored by various Spanish museums, will also be launched that day. The institute will also present the prizes of its reading-themed photographic award I Read Everywhere and the Mosabqa Award, which is given to the best research done on the similarities between Egyptian and Spanish people.
