Egypt's Embassy in Washington has held a cultural event on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the January 25 revolution.
The ceremony was attended by a large number of Egyptian expatriates in the US and some members of technical offices of the Egyptian Embassy here.
During the event, Egypt's Ambassador in Washington Yasser Reda highlighted gains of the January 25th revolution in the political sphere, including allowing citizens to participate in the political life.
The revolution also contributed to regaining Egypt's leading role on the Arab, African and international arenas, empowering youth and promoting the culture of diversity, Reda added.
