“Zorna” band from the commune of Sebt (Skikda) and aissaouas group of Collo presented Wednesday to Algiers’ audience a reviving cocktail of music genres belonging to Skikda’s rich heritage, on the occasion of Local Popular Arts and Cultures Festival of Algiers. The audience was enthralled with the festive music and dance of Zorna band and the liturgical choral of the aissaouas. Dressed in burnous and gandouras, the six performers of El-Noudjoum’s association gave the usual pulsating shows in the Algerian traditional festivities. The Aissaouas of Collo presented hymns marked by prayers to the Glory of God and prophet Mohamed (Peace be upon him). Skikda’s cultural week is being held on the occasion of the Local Popular Arts and Cultures Festival of Algiers.
