The Sultanate, represented by the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources (MRMWR) in the first Gulf Conference on proficiency testing to be held in Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, Dubai, U.A.E., from March 10th-13th. In organizing this conference, the GCC Standardization Organization aims to raise awareness of activity and importance of proficiency testing in the Member States to ensure the proficiency of testing, inspection, inspection point's laboratories. The conference will also be an opportunity for consultation between various stakeholders and identify their needs proficiency testing. The Chairman of the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation ILAC, ISO 69 Proficiency Testing Committee, the Chairman of EPTIC and the following proficiency testing agencies : Dubai Accreditation Department (DAC ) Food Analysis Performance Assessment Scheme (FAPAS)in Britain, Bureau Interprofessionnel d'Etudes Analytiques (BIPEA ) in France, Türk Akreditasyon Kurumu (TURKAK) in Turkey, Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology, and GCC Standardization Organization will lecture in the conference.
