Preparations for the 10th annual Doha Jewelry and Watches Exhibition (DJWE) have finished and the event will open its doors on Monday at the Doha Exhibition Center, Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) revealed on Saturday. The seven-day international exhibition is organized by QTA and will showcase of the finest jewelry and watches collections. This year's edition, which runs until March 3, features over 530 international and regional brands of fine jewelry and luxury watches including the world's most glamorous and fashionable marques. Many spectacular pieces will be exclusively revealed at the show. In addition to an impressive list of regular exhibitors, the 10th annual exhibition is hosting for the first time many new participants representing some of the world's leading names in the industry such as Christie's from London and Matis Jewelry, who are aiming to establish a foothold in the jewelry industry in Qatar. The 2013 Doha Jewelry and Watches Exhibition will cover nearly 15,000 square meters. Over the past decade the DJWE has become a record-beating event and this year is no exception. This year's edition will see an impressive increase of 15 percent on international brands participation. Among the significant Qatari exhibitors in the event, which is sponsored by QNB, are Al Fardan Jewellery Company, Ghadah Jewellery, Al Manara Trading, Ali Bin Ali group, Al Majed Jewellery, Blue Saloon, Al Muftah Jewellery, Amiri Gems W.L.L., Fifty One East, Al Jaber watches, Pari Gallery, Marzooq Al Shamlan and Sons W.L.L., Al Majed Pearls, Dar Al Majid Jewellery, Royal Jewellery (Al Malakia), Bulgari Jewellery, Al Makki Jewellery and Watches, Al Mawali Jewellery, Matis Jewellery, Versailles Jewellery, Wazni Jewellery, Doha Marketing Services Co. (Domasco), Safana Jewellery. International brands featuring in the show include Mouawad Jewellery W.L.L., AL Zain Trading Co WLL, Graff/Qatar Marketing Co., Christie's Jewellery. The exhibition opens every day from midday to 10 p.m. except for March 1, when it opens at 4.00 p.m. and closes at 10.00. QTA defines its mission as to offer residents and tourists alike a wide set of events in addition to positioning Qatar as a world class tourism hub for business, leisure, culture, education and sport.
