Secretary of Iran's Supreme Council for National Security Saeed Jalili, welcomed the readiness of the six countries known as 5 + 1 Group to resume negotiation on Iran's nuclear programme in order to take key steps towards sustained cooperation, noting that Iran's also has the same readiness. This came, as mentioned by World News Channel of Iran, in a letter Jalili sent on Wednesday, to the EU Coordinator of Foreign Policy, Catherine Ashton in response to her message . Jalili emphasized in his letter that the success of negotiations depends on the positive response of the six countries Germany, Russia, China, USA, Britain and France to Iran initiatives, welcoming Ashton remarks about "the need to respect Iran's right to peaceful use of nuclear energy."
