Russia has evidence that the Iranian government is being truthful when it says its nuclear program is entirely for peaceful purposes, an official said Friday. Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov urged the Iranian government to cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency, RIA Novosti reported. He said that would help convince the United States, Europe and Israel of its peaceful intentions. "We have verified data showing that there is no reliable evidence for the existence of a military component," Ryabkov said. "There is no proof of a military component in Iran's nuclear program."
