Arab Today, arab today Shaheedi : Iran has always opted path of dialogue

Islamabad - IRNA

Pakistani religious leader on Sunday said that Iran has always opted the path of dialogue to solve all outstanding issues but it is the US that avoids dialogue with the Islamic Republic. Talking to IRNA Allama Amin Shaheedi Deputy Secretary General Majlis-e Wahdat-e Muslimeen (MWM) said the western states cannot tolerate development in Islamic countries especially in Iran. He was of the opinion that Iran for the past 30 years has resisted all kinds of pressure and practiced Islamic ideology in its true spirit. The scholar added that Iran is the only Muslim country which is not yielding to western dominance and that is why the West imposes sanctions and exerts pressure on Tehran. “The Iranian nation is brave and has always remained steadfast in difficult times,” said Allama Shaheedi, stressing that today Iran is developing in all fields. He said that Iran had gone through difficult period but the government has secured the future of the nation by adopting wise policies. He reiterated that the West's anti-Iran approach has failed miserably. He said that the wave of Islamic Awakening in Muslim countries has roots in the Islamic Revolution of Iran. These movements were inspired by the Islamic Revolution and guidelines of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the religious leader strongly believed.
