Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab inspected Sunday the digital library at the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University.
The library was built in adding two floors to a one-storey building at the faculty using light steel technology.
The technology was developed through a fund from Science and Technology Development Fund (STDF) and Cairo University.
The team of the project included a number of researchers from Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University, Housing & Building National Research Center along with professors at Johns Hopkins University and Virginia Tech University in the U.S.
All the necessary tests have been made to make sure of the efficiency of the system in withstanding expected loads
