Twelve music associations from several regions will participate in the 8th National Hawzi Festival which will be held from 6 to 12 July in Tlemcen, said Monday the province’s culture directorate.
This year’s edition, which will see the participation of associations from Constantine, Nedroma, Blida, Annaba, Tipaza and Oran, will be marked by the presence of a Tunisian association which will liven up the opening ceremony of this musical event.
About fifteen singers, including Omar Belkhodja, Leila Mrah and Meriem Benallal will liven up this edition’s evenings in the commune of Marsa Ben M’hidi and at the open air theatre of Koudia.
The festival’s programme also includes two conferences under the themes “The Language of Hawzi » and “The cultural relation between Tlemcen and Andalusia,” will be led by Mohamed Hamdi and Mohamed Baghli.
