The seventh edition of the international festival ONE DANCE WEEK on Thursday evening kicked off with a Chinese Kung Fu show by the company founded by Jackie Chan.
The 72-minute show "Gateway" performed by Contemporary Dragon KungFu Company, the first Chinese participation in the largest festival of contemporary dance and performance in Bulgaria, was wildly applauded by the spectators in the crowded hall of the local culture centre.
"This is a very impressive performance that shows the new face of China's contemporary dance scene," Assen Assenov, Director of the event organizer EDNO, a platform for contemporary culture, told Xinhua.
It is very attractive for the Bulgarian audience that knows Jackie Chan and his movies, Assenov said.
He added that the Bulgarian audience can also see the show on Friday, and all tickets for both performances have been sold, including all standing places.
The festival ending next Saturday will present 17 performances from three continents, Europe, Asia and America.
