Egyptian film "Clash" (Eshtebak in Arabic) won three awards of the official competition of feature films in the 27th edition of the Carthage Film Festival (JCC 2016) whose awards were announced at the closing ceremony Saturday night at the Tunis Convention Centre.

The Silver Tanit was awarded to "Clash", after Tunisian film "Zaineb hates the snow" won the Golden Tanit, while the Bronze Tanit was awarded to "3000 Nights" by Mai Masri from Palestine.

In the same category of feature films, the Special Jury Prize was awarded to the film "The revolution will not be televised" of Rama Thiaw from Senegal.

The awards for best picture and best editing in the category of feature films were also attributed to "Clash".

Clash is a 2016 Egyptian drama film directed by Mohamed Diab. It was officially selected by the 2016 Cannes Film Festival, the opening film of the Festival's Un Certain Regard section, and the Egyptian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 89th Academy Awards.
