Kuwait - KUNA

Kuwait has participated in the 12th International Children's Festival, which took place in the Ukrainian town of Gurzuf, along with the participation of about a thousand children, representing 64 countries. Head of Kuwaiti delegation Dr. Mishaal Al-Janoubi praised the festival's activities, entitled "Let's Change the World for the Better!" for children aged between 12 to 15, which concluded two nights ago, in a phone call with KUNA on Saturday. The Kuwaiti delegation held an exhibition within the activities of the festival that included a short film about Kuwait's customs and traditions, in addition to a folklore dance performance, which won the admiration of the participating delegations, noted Al-Janoubi, also member of Supreme Advisory Committee in the Ministry of State for Youth Affairs. The participating Kuwaiti children also held a press conference, in which they gave an overview of Kuwait's history, culture, and heritage as well as the most significant national holidays and the main state institutions, he added. Al-Janoubi added that the festival aims to strengthen the ties of friendship and cooperation between children of the world, in addition to identifying the values of the various countries as well as their cultures, customs and traditions, and instilling love and respect between the young participants. The delegation included, along with Al-Janoubi, Mohammad Shamlan, and the children Abdullah Omar, Abdulrahman Al-Salama, Rakan Al-Ajmi, Abdullah Ahmad, and Abdullah Faisal.
