Turkey will attend the 25th Europalia International Arts Festival as guest country in 2015, said the Turkish Foreign Ministry on Tuesday. Turkish Foreign Ministry stated that the Europalia International Arts Festival invited Turkey to hold its 25th event together on its 45th foundation anniversary in 2015, which Turkey accepted. "The 25th Europalia will host Turkey in 2015. This occasion will let Turkey to bring its cultural riches to Europe and beyond with a comprehensive programme," the statement stressed. Reminding that the Europalia Festival, initially emerged as a result of the "European" idea, goes parallel with the EU enlargement, the statement includes that "After Brazil in 2011, and India in 2013, Turkey will be the guest country of Europalia in 2015, taking a major part in one of the most prestigious cultural festivals in the world, as a country negotiating for accession to the European Union and also as a big emerging economy." "Turkey will be able to showcase its culture in every field of artistic creativity, and bring out the country’s unique historic depth," added the statement.
