A number of Iranian films are slated to take part in the 2nd International Film Festival in Uzbekistan competing in various film categories. Iran will participate in the 2012 edition of Golden Guepard International Film Festival in three sections of short films, feature-length movies and animations. This year’s festival will be presented under the slogan “Civilizations of the 21st Century: Dialogue of Cultures” in the Uzbek capital of Tashkent. The 1st Tashkent International Film forum was held in October, 2011 with screening over 40 works from the US, Europe, Asia and Africa. Iranian writer and director Shahram Mokri's Burned, Cooked, Raw was awarded for the Best Short Film at the 2011 Tashkent International Film Forum. The 2nd Golden Guepard International Film Festival is scheduled to be held in the competition-based and non-competition programs from September 30 to October 5, 2012.
