New York Times Best Selling authors Clive Cussler and Justin Scott along with Norwood Press introduce the limited lettered and numbered editions of the seventh adventure of the Isaac Bell series titled THE BOOTLEGGER (Penguin 2014). "We've published more than 30 books by Clive and his co-authors," said John Hutchinson, owner of the 14 year old publishing company, Norwood Press and the online bookstore VJ Books. "Fans of Clive Cussler have come to appreciate his ability to connect with the reader. Leaving them hanging at the end of every chapter, his books always guarantee a climactic ending. He's earned 'The Grand Master' title with fans and collectors alike." Clive Cussler is famous for his Dirt Pitt adventures, now written with Clive's son Dirk, The Numa Files series that began with Paul Kemprecos - now penned by Graham Brown, The Oregon Files with Jack DuBrul, and the Fargo Adventures with Grant Blackwood and Thomas Perry. After Clive introduced readers to Isaac Bell in THE CHASE, he teamed up with Justin Scott to continue the series. THE BOOTLEGGER marks the seventh appearance of this electrifying new hero. Justin Scott has written thirty thrillers and mystery novels, including THE SHIP KILLER and NORMANDIE TRIANGLE. With many books set at sea, he has been called "the Dick Francis of yachting." His main pen name is Paul Garrison under which he has written five modern sea thrillers including FIRE AND ICE, RED SKY AT MORNING, SEA HUNTER, and THE RIPPLE EFFECT. Garrison came ashore, recently, to write a thriller series based one of Robert Ludlum's most notable characters, Paul Janson (THE JANSON COMMAND, THE JANSON OPTION). Regarding THE JANSON OPTION, Publishers Weekly greeted it with critical praise: “Robert Ludlum (1927–2001) would have been proud of Garrison’s fine thriller that picks up where his THE JANSON DIRECTIVE (2002) left off.” PW went on to say: “That Janson is a complicated character makes him more interesting than most action heroes, while Kinkaid proves a capable sidekick. A number of swift, unexpected plot twists will leave Ludlum fans eager to see more in this franchise from Garrison.” Synopsis of THE BOOTLEGGER: It is 1920, and both Prohibition and bootlegging are in full swing. When Isaac Bell’s boss and lifelong friend Joseph Van Dorn is shot and nearly killed leading the high-speed chase of a rum-running vessel, Bell swears to him that he will hunt down the lawbreakers, but he doesn’t know what he is getting into. When a witness to Van Dorn’s shooting is executed in a ruthlessly efficient manner invented by the Russian secret police, it becomes clear that these are no ordinary criminals. Bell is up against a team of Bolshevik assassins and saboteurs—and they are intent on overthrowing the government of the United States. Praise for THE BOOTLEGGER “Cussler and Scott have written another wonderful page-turner . . . This is historical action-adventure fiction at its rip-roaring best!”—Library Journal (starred review) “The Isaac Bell series continues to tell compelling stories. Tidbits of history are sprinkled throughout the narrative, and it’s fun to filter out fictional characters and events from historical facts.”—Associated Press “[A] laudable historical action novel.”—Publishers Weekly Source: PRWEB
