Oman's Information Minister Dr. Abdul Munim bin Mansour Al-Hasani has opened the 22nd edition of Muscat International Book Fair. 
Sayyid Haitham bin Tariq al- Said, Minister of Heritage and Culture, a number of their highnesses, ministers, undersecretaries, a number of ambassadors of sisterly and friendly countries attended the ceremony, according to Oman News Agency (ONA).

Shaikh Hamad bin Hilal Al-Ma'amari, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Heritage and Culture for Cultural Affairs said in his speech during the opening ceremony that Muscat International Book Fair is the most prominent on the map of cultural activities in the Sultanate.


During the opening ceremony a documentary entitled "Paths in the march of Muscat Book Fair which dealt with the history of the book fairs. 

At the end of the opening ceremony, the Minister of information presented a souvenir to Sayyid Haitham bin Tariq al- said, Minister of Heritage and Culture for his distinguished contribution in supporting the cultural and intellectual activities in the Sultanate, ONA reported.
