Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) Shaikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa received in his office at Seef District President of Bahrain Maritime Sports Association (BMSA) and the Arab Sailing Federation (ASF) Shaikh Khalifa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and BMSA Board of Directors member of honour Noman Rashid, in the presence of Acting Secretary General of Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) Abdulrahman Sadaq Askar. Shaikh Khalifa presented Shaikh Salman with a copy of a book spotlighting the sailing sport history in Bahrain since its inception thirty years ago. The SCYS Secretary General lauded the efforts of BMSA to bolster Bahrain's presence in regional and international championships. "The success achieved over thirty years is owed to the big ambitions of the Bahraini youth to promote maritime sports," he said, stressing support to the association's activities to preserve the accomplishments and map out schemes to build on hard-won achievements. On his part, the BMSA President thanked Shaikh Salman for his support, describing the care given by Chairman of the SCYS and BOC President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa as a stimulus for all Bahraini athletes to stand out.
