Visiting performers from a southwestern Chinese province on Friday night presented impressive dances to local audience at Chicago's Harris Theater. Wearing colorful costumes and traditional jewelries, actors and actresses of "Wind of Colorful Guizhou" performed folk and modern dances as well as heart-stirring acrobatics. After the show, which gained rounds of applause from the audience, governments of Guizhou and Chicago exchanged gifts and pledged to expand cultural exchanges. Wang Fuyu, vice chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference of Guizhou, said his province has many tourist attractions to offer, including waterfalls and mountainous scenery. Wang said the province, boasting diverse cultures and 17 ethnic groups, welcomes U.S. tourists to come for a visit.
