Egyptian lawyer and founding member of the Egyptian Social Democratic Party, Ziad Bahaa el-Din, has delayed his decision to accept the role of prime minister. El-Din tweeted: "I decided to delay accepting PM position for a few hours, as we try to reach a national consensus. "Certain parties refused to accept the appointment of a non-Islamist personality for the PM position. " I cannot accept the post of PM unless there's a national consensus," he concluded. El-Din was reportedly offered the role of prime minister on Sunday, with liberal politician Mohamed ElBaradei set to be appointed as vice-president.
